“Many of the artists I represent have been pioneers of the fabricated image,” says Jayne Baum, owner and director of JHB Gallery. Over the course of nearly 30 years in the art world, Baum has helped bring serious connoisseurship to contemporary photography. Her artists, Don Freeman, Hiromitsu Morimoto, Scott Morgan, Ellen Carey among others, have been at the forefront of the field whether it be with computer-generated, conceptually-based imagery, installation or video.

Baum, who formerly held galleries both in Tribeca and in SoHo, now works solely by appointment as a private dealer and consultant. She also maintains career-long relationships with the artists she represents and manages editions of one-of-a kind pieces.

Significantly, the gallery works with designers, major institutions, private and corporate collectors and prominent architects, to find public sites and unusual venues to bring photography, quite literally, into new territory.
